This past weekend, Model Railroader editor Neil Besougloff announced the untimely passing of Andy Sperandeo. As a kid, I was an active reader of Model Railroader magazine, and Andy was at the helm of the magazine during my formative years. Andy was a leader in the hobby, and with time his influence was felt in two areas of great interest to me personally: prototype operations and freight cars. While Andy retired from MR officially a few years back, he still has been closing out recent issues of MR with an informational editorial page with new innovations. Andy, we appreciate all you have done for our hobby. You will always be remembered by the crew here at Tangent Scale Models.
